Sleep and insomnia treatment
Glowen Wellness provides evaluation and treatment for adults experiencing insomnia, difficulty falling or staying asleep, irregular sleep schedules, and sleep problems related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood symptoms, or psychiatric medications.
Sleep problems can affect concentration, energy, mood, memory, and overall functioning. Treatment starts with understanding what may be interfering with sleep and whether psychiatric symptoms, medications, routines, or another condition may be contributing.
Sleep difficulties can take many forms, including trouble falling asleep, waking frequently during the night, waking too early, sleeping at inconsistent times, or feeling unrefreshed despite spending enough time in bed.
Poor sleep may also contribute to irritability, anxiety, low mood, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, and problems with memory or executive functioning.
Evaluation looks at your sleep pattern as well as the broader factors that may be affecting it.
This may include mood and anxiety symptoms, ADHD, medications, caffeine or substance use, work schedules, sleep habits, medical conditions, and previous treatment.
The goal is to determine whether insomnia is the primary concern or whether another condition may be contributing to disrupted sleep.
Treatment is individualized based on the cause and pattern of your sleep difficulties.
Recommendations may include behavioral sleep strategies, changes to routines, medication adjustments, treatment of underlying anxiety or mood symptoms, and sleep medication when clinically appropriate.
The goal is not simply to make you sleepy, but to improve the quality and consistency of your sleep.
You do not need to know whether your sleep problems are caused by anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, medication, or something else before reaching out.
If difficulty sleeping is interfering with your mood, energy, concentration, or daily functioning, a consultation can help determine whether psychiatric evaluation or treatment may be appropriate.
